Installed on 2016 Wrx sti, requires swapping 2 plugs and tapping into 1.
Swap black plug 16pin from the car harness and replace with black wire from new harness. Swap middle plug 3pin from car harness and replace with red plug from new harness. The black plug and plug from 3pin goes back into the new plug include in kit. Plug and play and your good to go.

This is a quality OEM item, with a well made harness. It works well, with 2 things to note. 1 - when the car is off, any lock-related signal will trigger the folding of the mirrors, such as unlocking the passenger door or all doors, not just locking. 2 - when starting the car, the mirrors will start unfolding for a split second, however they will stop until the engine starts, and then resume unfolding.
- Installation tips
Installation took me about 2 hours. Make sure you thoroughly read through the instructions, and look at all the illustrations. The trickiest part is re-pinning the connectors. Make sure you snap the connectors back together when you're done, otherwise some of the switches on the driver's door could stop working like they did for me.

After install this parts, the class if WRX S4 look like upgraded. When u lock the car the side mirror will close, when engine start the mirror will open automatically

Since it related to existing wiring, it is connection, you have to find a car electrical workshop to assist installation.

I installed this product myself. The mirrors fold in when you lock the car and open when you turn on the ignition. If you close the mirrors prior to turning off the ignition, the mirrors will not open automatically until you depress the button - this is good incase you park in a tight spot where the mirror will touch.

Make sure you contact 'Ask About Product' Japanparts for English translated instructions! You must remove 2 wires from the factory loom connectors and tap a wire on the door lock.

Great product! Works as described and received an english translated manual from Japanparts for free! Had to get this installed by a professional though.
