The Power Steering pump specific option for (#050) GR#/GV# Spec C, S206, TS RA or VAB. Part 34430 PUMP, POWER STEERING (Japanparts No : 317-060-001). I had upgraded my 2009 Subaru Impreza STI GRF 2.5 AWD 6MT 5D Hatch. Usually should be using Part 34430 PUMP, POWER STEERING (Japanparts No : 317-060-001)(#030) GR#/GV# STi. The difference is the pulley wheel diameters, (Japanparts No : 317-060-001)(#030) GR#/GV# STi is 100mm pulley wheel in diameters and (Japanparts No : 317-060-001)(#050) GR#/GV# Spec C, S206, TS RA or VAB is 110mm pulley wheel in diameters.
This is lager pulley diameter power steering pump will reduce the rotational speed of the pulley due to its larger size. The efficiency of the power steering pump is improved while unnecessary load on the engine is reduced. With reduced load you will notice that engine response will be improved.
The larger pulley helps prevent cavitation at high revs, where the water pump just cuts through the coolant rather than actually pumping it. Also have to replace a new STIV BELT FOR ALTERNATOR/POWERSTEERING from(#ST08092ST000) 874mm for GRF/GVF to (#ST08092ST010) 882mm for SG/ GDB/GDA/ GRB/GVB.
