OEM gaskets just last longer and way more reliable than after market units. The last thing you want is to pull the diff due to saving a few dollars on a cheaper gasket.

You need to have the diff out to replace the gasket so these are best replaced if you have the diff cover plate off. Make sure you have the gasket orientated the correct way and all surfaces are clean and oil free
