I think that this part number and the part number ending in AC, the adjacent other hose, have had their part numbers flopped.
My comments are below.

- Installation tips
I have this hose as Japan Parts part number 170-047-005.

In the Subaru diagram it's part number ending with AD. The invoice adds the full Subaru part number 45520FE330, which is marked on the packaging.

This hose is very similar shape with the hose next to it with part number ending with AC, Japanparts part number ending with 004. The invoice has Subaru part number 45520FE320.

So from all I wrote, per the diagram, AD is towards the front, AC is towards the rear.

But the AD has a big letter marked in paint on it "R" and the AC has "F".

So I think that you've flopped the part numbers. I think that the hose that is in the front, marked F, 45520FE320 should be AD and the hose marked R, 45520FE330, should be AC
