It's easy to get the mirror caps off, you might use your nails or get a pry tool.

Caution: Be careful not to apply excessive force when removing the outer mirror cover, as the lower hooks may become damaged. -

Super easy to get the mirror caps off. Simply pry between the mirror cap and black portion of the mirror closest to the car. Once it separates, give a quick pull and they come right off. These Cherry Red ones snap right on in 5 seconds. Perfect!!!
